Over the past few years the interest over Green Technologies has risen quite significantly. It is because of this interest that so many companies have begun to grow. Some companies have thrived off of the interest and need for new green technologies. With such interest as environmental remediation, hybrid vehicles, solar panel technology, wind turbines and more. There is no telling where we will be in the next ten years, but one thing is for sure, that the ‘Going Green‘ trend is here to stay. We have seen the tremendous potential and power of green technology throughout the years.

Some new green technology advances in development and even finalized include:

Car manufactures have been getting into the action with Hyrbid vehicles which include even luxury and sports brands such as Audi, BMW, Porsche, and even Ferrari. What has been dubbed as the ‘Hybrid Wars’ soon almost every car maker known will have at least one version of Hyrbid vehicle. These Hybrid Wars are a direct result to the gas price spike in the last few years. While gas prices remain low now, it is hard to determine when they will rise again.

A floating Hywind turbine developed by Statoil Hydro. It is the World’s first floating turbine. Located in South-Western Norway. This turbine is in fact floating, and not attached to the ocean floor. The overall potential of this technology is quite significant. Especially when you take in account the tremendous wind power the ocean can provide.  When you also include the mass size of the ocean, it is quite possible we will be seeing more of these in the future.

VeruTEK’s green technologies, S-ISCO and S-ESCO (Surfactant-enhanced In Situ Chemical Oxidation and Surfactant-enhanced Ex Situ Chemical Oxidation) can neutralize and destroy groundwater, subsurface and surface contamination without actually having to use any heavy equipment. Its environmental remediation technology is quite a remarkable feat.

The overall potential of Green Technologies is quite remarkable, and companies have taken notice. So with new potential also comes new competition. It is without question we will be seeing more advertisements, commercials and brands coming out of the wood works involving the ever growing, Green trend. It also opens up a window to new development, innovations, and alternatives.
